After hearing so much about them for quite sometime now, about 6 months ago I went out and bought The Hunger Games (the first in a squeal of three). I read a few chapters, but as life usually does, it got busy around here and I cleared a space of the shelf for it where it sat until three days ago. I saw a lot of people posting pictures of the series on Instagram and I decided to give it another go. Bean's been off work this entire week and was out of town this weekend, so I had no excuse not to read. And that's just what I did. I am towards the very end, but I've been hooked since I started back. I feel like a trip to Target is in order to pick up Catching Fire! The one thing I love about reading a series after it's already been popularized is that there isn't a wait for the books to come out. I can read them all simultaneously and not have to wonder what's going to happen next. I thought I'd share the trailer with you, in case you haven't already seen it, or have been interested in the books but afraid to start them. It's intense and fast paced, super future/dystopian type of plot and I love it! The movie comes out March 23 (3 days before my birthday, anyone want to take me?) and that's the only thing I'm having to wait for! One of my resolutions for this year (I'll share them all this week!) is to read more. I have a plethora of books just waiting for me to read them; Hello the entire Monk series. I'm excited that I've already got one book on my list of books I read for this year.
Are you a fan of The Hunger Games? If not, you should give them a read! What was your favorite book of the three? xo, Meghan
Favorite book is definitely book number 1. Then, I'd have to say the end of book 3, because it's just so crazy. But I really like that book 2 feels like book 1...
ReplyDeletehaha, So, book 1. Final answer.
