Deliciously Sew at CEF Market!

Deliciously Sew  packed up their bags + boxes and went to another craft show this past Saturday! This show happened to be the same vendor/place that we had our first show at. So it was sort of sentimental being back there! We choose to be inside this time, and I'm really glad we did. March weather can be scary, y'all! We have a ton of things for sale at our shows that we don't have for sale in our shop, and we are very conscious of that. We plan on doing a massive update very soon! It's really fun to look back on each of our craft shows and see how our products and tables have changed.

Hope you have a great Wednesday! See what I mean, it's already the middle of the week, how did that happen? xo, Meghan

Where have I been?

they are seriously looking more and more like twins each day. Minus the beard of course!

This week/weekend went by in such a whirlwind! I like when the weeks go by fast, and the weekend comes and takes its time to slowly fade back into the Monday routine. I really enjoy spending time with my little family on Saturdays and Sundays doing things we can't normally do during the week. Last week was mainly spent preparing for our show on Saturday, (i'll share more on that later!) but we still had our regular daily duties to tend to and lots of errands to run. It was a busy week to say the least. This week is going to be super busy too. Thankfully Bean will be coming home at his normal time (4:30, as opposed to 8:30) this week and will be able to attend all of the fun things that are going on!

Tonight, Angela and I are taking some of our fancy peacock headbands and a few fancy pouches/clutches up to this new hair salon that showcases local artists, and I'm really looking forward to that! Tomorrow is Angela's birthday!! I'm so excited to give her some presents! Wednesday is our bible study class, and Thursday we are going to Bean's Pops for dinner, plus we get to ride Beans mama's new horses!! Saturday is both my cousin's baby shower, and a trio birthday party for Angela, Bean's mama, and myself. side note- all three of our birthdays are in March! I'll be spending our spare day catching up on chores, working on a custom Easter bulk order, and shopping for baby David!

I realize it's been kind of quite over here this week, and it seems like it will be this week with that crazy schedule, but I'm determined for it not to be! I promise to share these fun things as they happen! We had some surprise house guests last night, (my mom and brother were here, because their power blew throughout the whole house, and they couldn't fix it last night.) so I was busy hanging out with them and chowing down on some Publix cupcakes + ice cream instead of posting my 52 weeks of instax, but I'll post that later today! That was a whole lot of information to take in, phew! Hope I didn't bore you to tears! Be on the lookout for regular posts this week! How was your weekend? xo, Meghan

Deliciously Sew // Pouch + Clutch Update!

The pouches are my other favorite thing to make! It's so fun to shop for the perfect fabrics. I could spend all day browsing stores, or scouring the internet. I also love buying zippers, the perfect color zipper can make a pouch even more cute. I recently bought some really great fabrics and I've been having a great time making clutches. It's so hard to list them, because I want to keep them all! You can find all of the new pouches + clutches in our shop! We've listed a few of our Spring/Summer pouches and clutches, but we will be adding a lot more when Spring actually comes, so keep your eyes peeled! What's your favorite?! xo, Meghan

Deliciously Sew // Owl Plush Update!

This update was so much fun to do! I think that making plushies is the most rewarding thing to make! (that and pouches/clutches, but that's for tomorrow!) It's so fun to have a job creating adorable things daily! I just wanted to let you know that we have reduced the price of the felt plushies! We've also created some super cute ones that you can even customize the felt colors on. They're bigger and have a few more special details; like the vintage sheets, pillowcases, and fabrics I've been collecting and saving! I kind of want to put them everywhere! I plan on making one for our bed for sure.

I'll be sharing another update in our shop tomorrow! Hope you have a great Thursday, so close to the weekend! xo, Meghan

Deliciously Sew at Hudson Park

This past Saturday DS attended a Valentines event just outside of Tallahassee. It required us to be up by 5:30 and on the road by 6:15. It was barely above freezing, and both of our boys were working. It seemed like the odds were against us, and truthfully, the ended up being not in our favor. We brought a lot of new items (read: actual plushies, rings, pouches, clutches, and onesies!) and our usual array of cuteness + yummy treats, but between the bitter coldness, wind, chance of rain, and the area we were in/type of crowd it was hard to be positive! We even had what we call "The Mule Day" incident, which I can't even speak of because it's so awful! None of that stopped us from having a good time! With all of these bad events you'd think I'd have walked away less than thrilled, right? No way! The booth was ADORABLE, both Angela and I looked super cute, the conversation was fun, and the corn dogs were good (nom). Even though we didn't make a lot of money (only enough to cover our next show, which is only a few weeks away!!) we both worked super hard and had fun, and you can tell.

Now, I'm going to leave you with a few too many photos of our day! Hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed taking them! XO, MB

Something New

If any of you follow me on Instagram (@ahoynaitve) then you know I've been a busy little sewing bee. At first, I was scared to even look at my sewing machine the wrong way for fear that it would spontaneously combust. But once we got threw with the introductions; I was eager to learn. It only took me two days to figure out what I really wanted to do; sew pouches. Since that first fateful day where I started with a 7in. zipper, couldn't figure out how it was done, sewed the front awesome and the back inside out, and threw my hands up in defeat..I've come back full force. Yes, I do realize how small this time span is, nonetheless, I am really proud of myself. So proud in fact that we have decided to carry these pouches + clutches in our shop; Deliciously Sew! I'm working on creating a signature design for DS and it's been really fun and relaxing to put on an episode of SVU and sew for an hour or two each night. *Especially since Bean will be working overtime for the rest of this week and the next!* I'm crossing "learn to use my sewing machine" off of my goals list for this year! I'm no where near seamstress status, but practice makes perfect.

These are only a few of the pouches + clutches available in the shop right now. I'm currently adding more, and will be adding more for the rest of the weekend. We're currently sourcing fabrics and materials, making sure that we bring something new and fresh to this cute industry! It's really fun to go shopping for fabrics and supplies!♥ Some of the pouches are one of a kind, some only a few of each design will be made! So if you see something you like, check back, because we have a sweet deal to offer! I'll be back later to share! XO. Meghan

Deliciously Sew Grand Opening!!

As you may remember from my New Year's goals and mentioning it in this post, I wanted to devote more time to Deliciously Sew. This has been a dream of mine to create DS for over 2 years now. When I told Angela that I thought we should do this together, she agreed and we've been working towards it ever since. Thank goodness she agreed!! At first, we just talked about it for a while, but once we actually started getting ideas, It's been go go go from then on. It seemed only natural that we open an Etsy to showcase and sell our handmade cuteness. So that is just what we did!

We only started adding items yesterday, so there is still a lot to be added. I had no idea how much work it would be to make sure you take the perfect pictures, that your words are interesting and enticing. Or that something other than remedial math would be needed to calculate shipping costs and Etsy fees. But what fun it has been too!! And doing this is proof of all our hard work. I hope that you'll poke around and see what we've been making and selling all these times I talk about DS!

I'll be back later to share both mine and Angela's favorite things from the shop with you! If you get a chance to look, I'd love to know what your favorite thing is! xo, Meghan.

Deliciously Sew at Dorthy B Oven

As you can probably tell from the pictures....this post is old! Like, well over a month old. DS had a show at Dorthy B Oven in early December. It was, well, a dud. Probably the least exciting of our shows. It was very cold, we were pretty much hidden behind some bushes, and there wasn't a good flow of people. Now, I'm not complaining, because there were some good points too....A lot of our friends and family came to visit, we sold ALL of our cake pops to a nice lady, and I was back at the spot of our engagement♥ only days after. It was fun, and even though we showed up feeling discouraged about the situation, we left on a positive note. Thank God for that sweet lady buying all our cake pops!

We are actually in the process of setting up our Etsy. We've just got a few loose ends to tie up, and hopefully it should be up and running by this time next week! We're hoping the online store will generate a new clientele, not just a locally based one. But we aren't going to stop doing shows, because it's really fun, and our displays are super cute! ;) We're in the process of looking for shows for this upcoming year, both local and non. It would be a dream to be in Renegade. xo, Meghan.
